I was going through my photo's from Israel (March 17, 2008) and discovered this one... The light and shadows make this picture unique. Along with the contrasting styles of the individuals depicted make for an awesome photo.

Just thought I would take a quick break from life and talk about something... How about a poem...



Now that my poem career is over let us embark upon another career... What could that be?
A mystery writer

The blog was empty and had remained such for months it seemed. I your resident detective, took this as a clue. So as any good detective would do I started at the top. What does this mean? Where could the blogger be? Is he sick? dead? lost out at sea? O and by the way I saved 15% on my car insurance ....

Okay I think i fired myself ... Now for a comic strip ...

Wow I am truly impressed if I must say so myself... Anyway this is what i feel like right now -and or look like

Summer ZZZZzzzz

Random photo - Vanessa Garcia (former Patten student) and myself many years ago I don't even recall where ... I just found it and said, "Wow is that really me?" 

What a nice time summer has been and it is coming to a glorious close... September 2nd my freedom is over and I start my 9 am - 4:15 pm on t/th and work the rest of the days of the week except for Sunday (which isn't a day off anyway). 

Anyway a break from Blog land has been enjoyable... And will possibly continue ... PEAK in Tulsa was AWESOME ... I will post some pictures once I upload.

Curtis? Not Here - Out for Summer Recess

Well I wish that were the question for reals... I wish that I was traveling to England, the Great Wall, Brazil, Australia and NOT Beijing ... (No offense just don't like DIRty nasty cities). 

But Curtis has just been enjoying the summer and working for the past two weeks straight no real time off at all ... Besides going to Bakersfield on Saturday and back that same night ... It was a real good time. 

On the contrary, church was really good Sunday night - Brother B.J. Wilmoth spoke to my heart what it has been beating (feebly at times) since January. Yes God your works are great, but I want to know YOUR WAYS - 

But I was reading last night and came across a scripture that totally fit. 

II Chronicles 27:6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God. 

Now we know what PREPARED means... We prepare for parties, trips, work, lunch, dinner, dates, ... we as Americans know how to prepare prepare.... 

Now i am just challenging myself to PREPARE my ways before the Lord my God ... 

Being a DOER of the WORD. It is amazing looking at the lives of the apostles who when Jesus was crucified were hiding and denying him, but the resurrection power gave them BOLDNESS>>> and they understood HAD NOTHING to loose they had already gained eternal life. Each of them died except for John - the death of a martyr holding onto the POWER of the CROSS in their lives. God forgive me, forgive us Americans who are spoiled beyond imaginations. Lord we are going through an economic downturn, but no one is starving to death ... I am not affected at all... i might pay more at the pump, but really who cares... 

God keep shaking ... Your coming is nigh ... 

There will be no more time to get it right when the Lord cracks the sky so just keep your hand in his hand and be ready when Jesus comes.... 

I am sorry my last post sounded very similar, but I cannot shake myself from God... everyday he is calling and i am trying to listen to the still small voice... it isn't in the earthquake, lightening/thunder nor the strong wind... but the still small voice and I must remain full of His Spirit and he will LEAD me into ALL truth ... I don't have to struggle ... just allow him to LEAD.... Simple - I want to be Christ like ... I have His Spirit - Let him do it ... and I'll do His Word

God - Still SMALL voice -

I got to thinking - What would i do for someone - Would I sit under a tree - walk a mile - Not for any monitory value - just for the pure pleasure of knowing that the individual that requested the act of service is gratified and approves of me - What would I do ? I would lay aside a lot of pride, misunderstandings, and fear while plunging myself into the DUTY AT HAND.  

Now God I want to please you ULTIMATELY - with everything - So I will strive to listen to that still small voice - Everyday - I want you to find pleasure in my very existence - Radically working and making the Kingdom come to pass on this earth until thy promised return- 

Be encouraged and do the right things for the right reason. God - don't sin - sin grows up- 

Pray about it - Meditate about it - Living for HIM is the ONLY REALITY -
